Carl Wanke Elementary Library Program Mission:

The Wanke Library mission is to provide a diverse collection for our community,

create independent learners and to be the hub for learning and collaboration.

 

Library Hours

Students and parents are able to visit the library 7:30-2:45.  Students may visit with their parents before school and parents may visit throughout the day.

Class Visits

Classes visit once every six school days.  Students are also able to visit throughout any school day, individually, with a library pass from their teacher.

Student Checkouts

All books are due within 21 days of being checked out.

Pre K and  Kinder - Students can check out 1 book
1st through 5th - Students can check out 2 books

Parent/Guardian Checkouts

Parents/guardians can check out up to 5 books at a time for 21 days. They can come in with their child in the morning before school to check out/return books if they'd like to browse with them, but they can also come in by themselves anytime during the school day when the library is open.

Parents/guardians need to fill out a form so that Ms. Mosley can create a family account for you. You can pick up the form in the library or use this Google Form to fill out.

About Your Librarian

This is Mrs. Lockhart's 16th year as a librarian.  She has a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Elementary Education and a Masterโ€™s Degree in Library Science.  Prior to that, she taught special education in an elementary school for five years, six years teaching third grade and two years teaching first grade.
