I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Education from UTSA (Go Runners!) and my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. Additionally, I hold certifications in Special Education and ESL.Before joining Wanke, I spent seven years as a Site Coordinator for Texas Tech University’s College of Education, supporting student teachers as they prepared for their own classrooms. I then transitioned to Judson ISD, where I served as an Academic Coach, working closely with teachers to enhance instruction and boost student success.
My passion lies in making a meaningful impact on students’ lives. I am committed to guiding, mentoring, and empowering students to become successful, confident, and productive citizens.
Becoming a Wanke Wolf has been an incredible experience, and I am truly grateful to be part of this amazing school family. I look forward to building strong connections with our community, staff, parents, and—most importantly—our students!
The Associate Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. They can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at 210-397-7615.
Hello Wanke Family! Excitement, enthusiasm, and pride skim the surface in expressing how I feel to be your Associate Principal. The legacy and future of Wanke Elementary exude a passion for learning and foundation in the community that I am so honored to be a part of.
I am a born and raised Texan, originating in the DFW area but also having roots in Abilene, Lubbock, and now San Antonio.
I received my undergraduate degree as well as my Masters of Education in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University. I also received a Masters of Education from the PUniversity of Texas in Arlington in Curriculum and Instruction along with my Reading Specialist & Principal certifications. My experiences in education since 2008 have spanned various states and countries (West Virginia, Mississippi, and of course, Texas as well as the Dominican Republic) ranging from teaching kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 5th grade as well as serving as a campus Reading Specialist which have brought me to this point in my career, serving as a Wolf leader.
Relationships are a large part of who I am as an educator, friend, advocate, and mentor. It is my hope to build quality relationships with each of you as my partner(s) in building lasting learning experiences for all members of the Wanke family.
