I am Lynda DeSutter, the proud Associate Principal at Pease Middle School. 2025/2026 will mark my 30th year in Education - what an honor! Prior to serving as Associate Principal, I proudly served as the Assistant Principal and Administrative Intern at Pease Middle School - what a privilege to be at Pease for 19 years! Prior to Pease, I was the Science Coordinator at Northside's Chavez Excel Academy for 5 years.
Originally, I am from the Rio Grande Valley, where I taught Middle School Science at McAllen ISD (4 years) and Rio Grande City ISD (2 years). I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry from UTPA in Edinburg and a Master's in Educational Leadership from UTSA - Go Roadrunners!
My husband Tyson and I are from McAllen TX and have been happily married since 2004. We have known each other since Middle School :) We have two wonderful sons, Tyson II and Parker. They both proudly attend Northside schools.

Jessica BarreraAssistant Principal
Hello, my name is Jessica Barrera and I am honored to serve the Pease community as the Assistant Principal. I am a proud product of Northside ISD schools - I attended Galm Elementary, Jordan Middle School and Taft High School. This is my twelfth year in education, all at the middle school level. I’ve taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade ELA and most recently served as the ELA Instructional Coach here at Pease for the past four years. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Counseling from Nelson University and UTSA. I strongly believe in supporting and empowering teachers and students so they can be the best versions of themselves in and out of the classroom. I am supported by my husband and family. And I may be a little obsessed with my niece. Most weekends I can be found on the couch with a good book and my French Bulldog, Frankie.
