Iโm a NISD graduate and am proud to be working in this district. I have a bachelors in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from OLLU. I have a Masters in Reading from UTSA and a certification in administration from TAMUK.
My husband Jesse and I have 2 children who attend NISD schools. I enjoy reading, baking and playing with my dogs Haley and Sydney.
Parents thank you for partnering with us to make sure your students receive the best education. Itโs my goal that all students receive individualized instruction, feel safe and want to come to school. Please reach out if I can be of assistance in any way [email protected]

The Associate Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. They can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at 1-(210)397-3915.
My name is Lauren Masters, and I am proud to be entering my 10th year in education and my third year as Associate Principal at Michael Elementary. Itโs been a joy to be a part of the Michael family, and I am excited for another year of learning, growth, and community partnership. In addition to serving as Associate Principal, I also serve as the Campus Behavior Coordinator.
Before joining Michael, I was an ESL teacher at McDermott Elementary for 7 years, where I served as team leader and provided instructional coaching and support for new teachers.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with ESL certification from Texas State University โ San Marcos, and later earned my Masterโs in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Iโm looking forward to an incredible school year ahead. It is my goal that every student at Michael Elementary experiences hands-on, engaging instruction that supports both academic growth and the whole child. I canโt wait to continue working with the students, families, and community that make Michael such a special place. Please donโt hesitate to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns.
