We are equally dedicated to creating an environment that affords each student the opportunity to experience success with equity, dignity, and respect. Our school atmosphere is caring and friendly. Our high expectations for academic achievement remain balanced with a growing awareness of the uniqueness of each student. We recognize and respect different learning and teaching styles and are united in our commitment to reach each child.
What do we Believe?
We believe that each child at Christian Evers Elementary is unique and has a right to an environment that will positively affect the student’s potential to grow intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially.
We believe that educators, parents, and community share in the responsibility for the growth and development of each individual student.
We believe that through this combined effort each child can develop values that will lead to continual career growth, productivity, and self-fulfillment.
We believe that an educated, responsible, productive citizen is essential to preserve a democratic way of life in America.

I'm Rosanna Guajardo, and I am deeply honored to serve as the Principal of Evers Elementary, home of the Unicorns. As a UTSA Roadrunner, I take pride in having completed all of my academic milestones through UTSA, including a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master's Degree in Education with a specialization in Reading, and an additional Master's Degree in Leadership and Policy Studies.
With a wealth of experience in education, I've had the privilege of dedicating my career to Northside ISD. Over the last 19 years, I've contributed to various campuses, starting as a fourth-grade teacher at McDermott Elementary and later at Mead Elementary. My dedication to literacy led me to serve as a Title I Reading Specialist at Mead Elementary and Brauchle Elementary. Before taking on my role at Evers, I spent six years as the Associate Principal at Howsman Elementary.
As I embark on this new chapter as the Principal of Evers Elementary, I continue to draw from my 19 years of service within Northside ISD. My primary focus remains on fostering positive relationships with our exceptional staff, students, families, and the broader community. My unwavering goal is to provide our students with enriching learning experiences that will serve as guiding lights toward a brighter future.
Join me in this exciting journey towards educational excellence at Evers Elementary!

The Associate Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. They can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at 210-397-2565.
My name is Christine Calcagno and I’m honored to serve as the Associate Principal at Evers Elementary. With 35 years in education, including 29 years in Northside ISD, I bring a deep passion for supporting students and teachers. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Master’s degrees in Reading and Educational Leadership. Originally from New York, I’ve called San Antonio home since 1996. I’m also a proud mom of three and share my home with three wonderful dogs. I’m excited to be part of the Evers community and look forward to a great year of learning and growth together.
