Attendance Recovery Information: 

Who Needs Attendance Recovery?
Students with more than 17 absences in a Year-Long course (or more than 8 absences in Semester 1 and 9 in Semester 2  course) must complete AR hours to earn credit...even if they have a passing grade of 70+!

How Does A Student Earn Attendance Recovery Time?

  • Attend a tutoring time for the subject in which academic support/Attendance Recovery is needed.
  • Students need to attend AR to receive credit (Hour per hour)
  • For morning AR sessions, the student must be in the classroom no later than 8:05 am.
  • For the afternoon AR sessions, the student must be in the classroom no later than 4:30 pm.
  • The student must bring their charged device. Students must work on academic assignments.

Texas Education Agency (TEA) 90% rule: Students are required to attend at least 90% of each course to receive credit. Attendance recovery hours must be recovered before and after school hours & during scheduled off-periods for seniors. Retrieving attendance credit is a minute-for-minute exchange.
