PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Today our 8th graders had the exciting opportunity to visit Jay High School and get a glimpse of what life will look like as they take their next steps next year. Students were able to see the campus, meet staff, and begin imagining themselves as high schoolers. As this transition approaches, itโs a great time to talk with your student about the importance of their decision-making, how their choices now shape their readiness for the next level, and how they can set themselves up for success.
We also have a very busy and exciting week ahead as we wrap up the first semester and head into winter break. With all the activity and anticipation, we would greatly appreciate your partnership in reminding students to make good choices and demonstrate appropriate school behavior throughout the week. Our goal is to ensure that every student enjoys their time at school and finishes the semester on a positive note.
A quick reminder that winter break begins on December 22, and students return on January 6.
Thank you for your continued support of our students and our campus. We look forward to a strong finish to the semester.
Bus Loop Use
Reminder: Parents, remember that the bus loop is not an authorized location to conduct parent drop off during the designated school bus pick up / drop off times. The bus times are 07:00 am to 09:00 am in the morning and 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm in the afternoons. Only buses should be in this area during these designated times.
It is encouraged that parents drop off in the designated parent drop off located in the front of the school. This drop off area can be accessed by entering through the entrance located on Farrel Dr. It is here where all drop offs and pick ups are monitored by school staff and faculty for the safety of all students, staff and faculty.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the campus.
Have a wonderful holiday break and be safe!
City Youth Sports Opportunity
Joining city leagues is a fantastic step for your child's athletic development, offering benefits that directly prepare them for school sports. City leagues often provide a lower-pressure environment focused on skill-building and fundamentals. Your child will get significantly more game time and repetitions, allowing them to truly learn the sport and develop core competencies.
This consistent, focused practice not only helps them get better but also builds teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanshipโall essential traits that will make them a more competitive and valuable player when they try out for and join a school team later on. It's the perfect path to gain experience, build confidence, and be well-prepared for the next level of competitive play.
