PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Happy Fiesta! As our city comes alive with parades, music, and delicious treats, I hope every Rayburn family enjoys a safe and joyous Fiesta celebration this weekend.

STAAR Testing Reminder:
Next week we’ll wrap up our STAAR season with the Math test on Tuesday. Please help your student prepare by ensuring they:

  • Get a good night’s rest before each testing day
  • Bring their charged Chromebook and charger on Monday for the dry run, so devices can stay securely in the testing room
We’ve seen wonderful growth and focus all year, and I’m confident we’ll finish strong with this final assessment.

Looking Ahead to 2025–2026:
Over the summer, we’ll be reviewing several campus policies—our most significant discussion point will be the school uniform policy. In past years, low survey response rates made it hard to gauge family needs and opinions. To make an informed decision this time, we will be distributing surveys to staff, students, and parents in the coming weeks. We need at least 80 percent of our families to participate to reach a clear conclusion on whether uniforms will remain in place. Your voice matters—please watch for the survey link and take a few minutes to share your perspective.

I would also like to thank the Rayburn Class of 2025 (8th Grade) for redecorating my office this week. Though your time here will soon be over, your impact will not be forgotten.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Enjoy the Fiesta festivities, and have a safe and restful weekend!
