PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Happy Friday! As we head into the weekend, I’d like to share some important updates and reminders:

STAAR Testing:
STAAR testing will begin on April 15. Please encourage your students to attend class every day, be punctual, and come prepared to learn. Their consistent attendance and readiness play a crucial role in their success.

UIL Band Competition:
We are proud of our band students who are off to compete at UIL. We wish them the best of luck and eagerly look forward to celebrating their successes upon their return.

Soccer Season:
Soccer season has officially started! A friendly reminder that tickets for games must be purchased through the Hometown Ticketing app—cash will not be accepted at the ticket gate. Students who attend games must have their student ID and be picked up promptly at the end of the game. Please note that students who are not picked up in a reasonable time may lose their privileges to attend after-school events unless accompanied by a parent.

Thank you for your continued support in ensuring our students thrive. Have a great weekend!

Gifted and Talented

8th Grade GT Mock Trials

I'm so proud of our 8th grade GT students. Today, they participated in our mock trials for Goldilocks vs. the Three Bears. These kiddos have been pouring over this case by looking at witness statements, creating evidence, writing opening and closing statements, coming up with direct and cross examination questions, practicing their speaking skills, working in teams, and learning about the judicial system. Again, I'm so proud of them. Our guest jury members were quite impressed!  Here are a few pictures from today's event!
