On March 29, the Northside Activity Center transformed into a vibrant arena of strategy, skill, and school spirit as nearly 350 secondary students competed in the NISD Esports Spring 2025 Qualifiers. The atmosphere buzzed with energy—from the adrenaline-pumping races of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to the tactical showdowns in Marvel Rivals—highlighting the exceptional talent and teamwork cultivated across our campuses.

In the high-speed world of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, both middle and high school competitors showcased incredible precision, split-second decision-making, and nerves of steel. After a series of intense races, the top eight teams raced their way into the finals:

Meanwhile, in the strategic arena of Marvel Rivals, ten six-player teams battled through a single-elimination bracket, demonstrating the power of communication, adaptability, and rapid-fire strategy. These five teams rose to the top as our finalists:

Mark your calendars! On Saturday, April 26, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the action returns to the Northside Activity Center for the NISD Esports Spring 2025 Championships. Come cheer on our finalists as they compete for glory—and witness the dedication, discipline, and digital excellence that define NISD Esports. The event is free and open to the public, and we invite the entire Northside community to be part of this exciting celebration of student achievement.
