The Meadow Village Elementary professional school counselor supports studentsโ€™ academic, career, personal, and social development through a comprehensive counseling program that includes the following components: guidance, responsive services, individual planning, and system support. Your school counselor provides classroom lessons, individual and group counseling, and collaborates with staff, families, and the community to promote student success. Your school counselor also uses student data to guide decisions, coordinate resources, and ensure ethical practices. Through leadership and advocacy, your school counselor creates inclusive environments and promotes equitable opportunities for all students while maintaining professionalism and high ethical standards.  


 

 

Individual Planning

This area focuses on helping students set goals and take an active role in their academic, career, personal, and social development. Through this process, students learn to plan, monitor, and manage their progress while being supported with clear steps to reach their goals.


 

System Support

This area includes the management and organizational activities that ensure a high-quality school counseling program. It also involves services that indirectly support student success by strengthening and enhancing other school programs.

Guidance Curriculum

School counselors deliver classroom guidance lessons that support studentsโ€™ growth in academic, career, personal, and social areas. These lessons focus on four key content areas: intrapersonal effectiveness, interpersonal effectiveness, post-secondary education and career readiness, and personal health and safety.

Responsive Services

This area involves school counselors providing timely support to students whose personal concerns or challenges are impacting their academic, social, emotional, or career development. These services ensure students receive the help they need to overcome barriers and stay on track for success.
