We will celebrate our 8th grade class before they disperse to more than eight different high schools at this year's Dandelion Ceremony. We invite our 8th grade families to join us at this event where we will recognize each STEM Magnet 8th grader with a certificate and commemorative pin.

Jones Middle School and Jones STEM Magnet will host the second annual STEM & GT Showcase on May 13, from 5:30-7:00 PM. Our STEM students and our GT students will display several of the projects they have worked on this school year. We are planning interactive displays, including drones, robots, and engineering activities. Everyone is welcome at this event, and we will have food trucks on site.

For Current 6th Graders -- STEM Sisters:

Northside ISD is hosting a seven-day STEM Sisters summer camp. This camp is available to CURRENT 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls at Jones, Pease, Ross, and Rayburn. This includes any incoming and current 6th grade girls at Jones STEM Magnet!

The camp is June 3, 4, 5 and June 9, 10, 11, 12. The camp is held at Pease MS and Rayburn MS. Limited transportation is provided.

For Current 7th & 8th Graders -- Longhorn Engineering Camp:

Jay Science & Engineering Academy is hosting a summer camp in participation with UT-Austin. The Longhorn Engineering Camp is FREE and open to current 7th & 8th graders. Space is limited, so interested students should apply early.

• The camp is July 21-24, 8:30-4:30
