Library

The Hoffmann Library, located front and center on our campus, is a hub for learning and a space where all students have the opportunity to engage in fun and enriching activities! Classes come in to check-out books, enjoy great stories and so much more! We have two book fairs each year, as well as author visits and other presentations that extend learning outside of the classroom. Our library is a welcoming space where all students are invited in to explore and enjoy!

Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Each class has a scheduled library time every 6 days. During this time students self select books to check-out and read for their enjoyment. Teachers can also bring classes at other times for specific projects or to select books to support their classroom learning.

Parents/guardians can check out up to 5 books at a time for 2 weeks. They can come in with their child in the morning before or after school to check out/return books. Parents/guardians need to fill out a form so that Mrs. Romero can create a family account for you. You can complete the form in the library.

The library is the hub for innovative and growth mindset opportunities that allow students to explore, imagine, create, and share.

The vision of the Hoffmann Library is to support the unique needs and talents of our students in order to promote a lifelong love of reading and learning, allowing students to grow and lead in our ever-changing world.

I'm Mrs. Romero and I have been a librarian for 18 years, 16 of those being here at Hoffmann Elementary! Before finding my way to the library, I was a school counselor and a GT teacher. 

A few fun facts about me...

• I am married and have one daughter and one son (both of my kids were Hoffmann Hawks)
• I am a huge sports fan with the St. Louis Cardinals being my favorite team, but I love almost all sports
• I love dachshunds, also known as weenie dogs
• I enjoy spending my free time reading and camping
