Vision and Mission

Our vision at Fisher Library is to be an inclusive hub for discovery and learning. By creating reading programs and incentives, the library becomes a dynamic space where students feel motivated to explore and complete books.Supporting all readers, regardless of their reading level or background, ensures the library remains an inclusive space where every student can develop as a reader.


Our mission is to inspire a love of reading and independent learning by providing a safe and nurturing environment. By offering structured reading support, book selection guidance, and incentives, the library nurtures independent learning. The goal promotes a safe and supportive environment where students feel encouraged and empowered to become lifelong readers.

Hours and checkout

The library is open daily from 7:30-3:30. Schedule may vary due to morning and afternoon duty, meetings and other events.

  • Learners in Kindergarten may checkout one Easy book per week. Books will stay in their classrooms.
  • Learners in 1st-5th grades may checkout two books every week that may go home, but may not be able to checkout if they have a lost or overdue book until the issue is resolved. Learners in 1st and 2nd grade are strongly encouraged to use the 5 Finger Rule to find Good Fit Books.
  • Parents may checkout up to 5 books at a time for a period of two weeks.
