The Olivia M. Lopez-Ramirez Memorial Scholarship was established to assist a graduation senior who is planning a career in teaching.
In order to receive a Olivia M. Lopez-Ramirez Memorial Scholarship, a student must file their application according to the procedures outlined in the application packet. Applications are available from the Northside Education Foundation website under Scholarships. The application deadline is usually May 15th each year, but this year it has been extended to May 30, 2025.
One Winner will be selected from the completed application packets and notified of the award. The scholarship winner will be formally announced and given their certificate prior to graduation.
Criteria for receiving the Olivia M. Lopez-Ramirez Memorial Scholarship are listed below.
The recipient must:
- Have attended Dr. Winn Murnin Elementary for a time equal to one semester.
- Be a 2025 High School graduating Senior.
- Plan on attending a college to prepare for a career in Teaching.
- Have a completed application packet.
The monetary value of the Scholarship is $1,000. Checks will be mailed directly to the college or University that the student will attend in the current academic year. Information will come directly from the Northside Education Foundation (NEF) office on how to receive the monies for the OLIVIA M. LOPEZ-RAMIREZ MEMORIAL Scholarship.
